Item List

The Inventory Item List page in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) provides a detailed view of all inventory items, their statuses, and related information. This manual provides step-by-step instructions on how to navigate and use the Inventory Item List page effectively.

Overview

The Inventory Item List page displays a table with various columns containing information about each inventory item. Users can search, filter, and perform actions such as printing labels and viewing item details.

  1. Table Columns

    • WMS Number: The unique identifier for each item in the WMS.

    • Created At: The date and time when the item was created in the system.

    • Updated At: The date and time when the item was last updated.

    • Unit S/N: The serial number of the item.

    • RMA: Return Merchandise Authorization number.

    • SKU: Stock Keeping Unit of the item.

    • Status: The current status of the item.

    • Zone/Location: The storage zone or location of the item.

    • Pallet #: The pallet number where the item is stored.

      1. Pallet Pop-Up Window

        1. Accessing the Pallet Pop-Up

          1. Click on the Pallet Number in the Inventory Item List to open the Pallet Details pop-up window.
        2. Fields and Actions

          1. Pallet Number: Displays the pallet number and associated location.

          2. Lot Number: Select or enter the lot number associated with the pallet, or remove the lot from the pallet.

          3. Dimensions: Enter the dimensions of the pallet:

            1. Width

            2. Length

            3. Height

          4. Weight: Enter the weight of the pallet and select the unit of measure (UOM).

          5. Visual Information: Enter visual details:

            1. Show on Pallet (visually) refers to the total count of anything that can be visually seen on the pallet. For example:

              1. If there is 1 box on the pallet containing 10 items inside, the Show on Pallet (Visually) will display as 1.

              2. If there is 1 box on the pallet containing 10 items inside, plus 10 additional items directly on the pallet, the Show on Pallet (Visually) will display as 11.

            2. Box on Pallet (visually) Similar to the Show on Pallet (Visually) but counts only the boxes. For example:

              1. If there is 1 bin on the pallet with a box inside it, the count will display as 0.

              2. If there is a box placed directly on the pallet (not in a bin), the quantity will display as 1.

            3. Item on Pallet (visually) This is similar to Show on Pallet (Visually) but only counts individual items. For example:

              1. If there is 1 box on the pallet containing 10 items, the count will display as 0.

              2. If there is an item placed directly on the pallet (not in a bin or box), the quantity will display as 1.

            4. Total Qty on Pallet refers to all items on the pallet, including items inside containers and items placed directly on the pallet.

          6. Auto Fill: Click to automatically fill in dimensions based on predefined settings.

          7. Print: Click to print the pallet details.

          8. Calculate: Click to calculate the total weight and volume based on the entered dimensions.

          9. Save: Click to save the pallet details.

          10. Reset: Click to reset all fields to their previously saved values.

          11. Cancel: Click to close the pop-up window without saving.

    • BIN Number: The bin number where the item is stored.

      1. Bin Pop-Up Window

        1. Accessing the Bin Pop-Up

          1. Click on the Bin Number in the Inventory Item List to open the Bin Details pop-up window.
        2. Fields and Actions

          1. Bin Number: Displays the bin number and associated location.

          2. Visual Information: Enter visual details:

            1. Show on Bin (visually)

            2. Box on Bin (visually)

            3. Item on Bin (visually)

            4. Qty on Bin

          3. Print: Click to print the bin details.

          4. Cancel: Click to close the pop-up window without saving.

    • Box Number: The box number where the item is stored.

      1. Box Pop-Up Window

        1. Accessing the Box Pop-Up

          1. Click on the Box Number in the Inventory Item List to open the Box Details pop-up window.
        2. Fields and Actions

          1. Box Number: Displays the box number and associated location.

          2. Dimensions: Enter the dimensions of the box:

            1. Width

            2. Length

            3. Height

          3. Weight: Enter the weight of the box and select the weight UOM.

          4. Quantity on Box: Displays the total quantity of items in the box.

          5. Auto Fill: Click to automatically fill in dimensions based on predefined settings.

          6. Print: Click to print the box details.

          7. Calculate: Click to auto-calculate the total weight based on the items inside of this box.

          8. Save: Click to save the box details.

          9. Cancel: Click to close the pop-up window without saving.

    • SAP Status: The status of the item in the SAP system.

    • BIN Type: refers to the categorization of items within the warehouse based on their status, purpose, or condition.

    • Qty: The quantity of the item.

    • GR Date: The date of the Goods Receipt.

    • Action: Actions that can be performed on each item (View Detail, Print WMS Label, Print Big WMS Label, Print Repair WMS Label).

  2. Search and Filter Options

    • Search by: Use the dropdown to select the criterion for searching (e.g., WMS Number).

    • Search or Scan Field: Enter or scan the search term to find specific items.

    • Create At Date: Filter items based on their creation date.

    • Select Location: Filter items based on their location.

    • Select Status: Filter items based on their status.

    • Select SAP Bin: Filter items based on their SAP bin.

    • Click the Search button to apply the filters.

    • Click the Clear button to reset the filters and display all items.

  3. Performing Actions

    • Manage Lot: Please check the LOT management section for more details.

    • Download Report: Click the Download Report button to download a report of the inventory items.

      1. Selecting Report Criteria
        You can choose between including all values or selecting specific values to customize the report. Here’s how:

        1. Select All: Check this box to include all available options for the filter in the report.

        2. Dropdown Selection: Use the dropdown menu to manually select specific values for the filter.

          1. Select GR:

            1. GR: Check this box to include items that have gone through the Goods Receipt process.

            2. Not GR: Check this box to include items that have not gone through the Goods Receipt process.

          2. Blocked Inventory (not SAP Status):

          3. Blocked: Check this box to include blocked items in the report.

          4. Not Blocked: Check this box to include items that are not blocked in the report.

        3. The Item Type:

          1. The item type filter allows you to select whether to include Serial items, None Serial items, or both in the report.
        4. With Latest Job Center Report
          The Latest Job Center Report filter allows you to combine the item report with the job center report, providing a consolidated view of both datasets in a single report.

      2. Selecting Download Format

        1. Choose the desired format for the report:

          1. CSV: Select this option to download the report as a CSV file.

          2. Excel: Select this option to download the report as an Excel file.

      3. Generating and Downloading the Report

        1. After selecting all the desired criteria and format, click the CONFIRM button to generate the report.

        2. The report will be downloaded in the chosen format.

    • Detail Button: Click the DETAIL button to view more detailed information about the item.

Inventory Item

Item Details

page provides comprehensive information about a specific inventory item.

Overview

The Item Details page displays detailed information about an item, including its status, location, history, and various attributes. Users can also perform actions such as printing labels, putting items on hold, or moving items off inventory.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Accessing the Item Details Page

    • Navigate to the Inventory Item List page, and click on the Detail button in the action column for the specific item to open its Item Details page.
  2. Item Information

    • WMS Number: Displays the unique WMS number of the item.

    • Updated At: Shows the date and time of the last update.

    • Receiving Lot#: This is the lot number associated with the item upon arrival. It corresponds to the lot number from a control number.

    • Receiving Date: The date and time when the item was received.

    • Serial Number: The serial number of the item.

    • Old S/N: The old S/N refers to the serial number that was recorded when the item was first scanned into the system.

    • QTY: The quantity of the item.

    • Pallet Number: The pallet number where the item is stored.

    • BIN Number: The bin number where the item is stored.

    • Box Number: The box number where the item is stored.

    • Type: The type column indicates the type of the shipment.

    • SKU: The Stock Keeping Unit of the item.

    • UPC: The Universal Product Code.

    • Model: The model of the item.

    • Division: The division under which the item falls.

    • Brand: The brand of the item.

    • Disposition: The disposition status or remarks.

    • Control Number: The control number associated with the item.

    • Location: The storage location of the item.

    • Status: The current status of the item.

    • Carrier: The carrier handling the item.

    • GR: Indicates if the Goods Receipt is true or false.

    • COO: Country of origin of the item.

    • Tracking: Tracking number if available.

    • RMA Number: Return Merchandise Authorization number.

    • Factory Seal: Indicates if the factory seal is present (true/false).

    • Packing: The packing type (e.g., Retail Box).

    • ACC: Accessory status (true/false).

    • BIN Type: refers to the categorization of items within the warehouse based on their status, purpose, or condition.

    • Batch Number: The batch number associated with the item.

    • Order Number: The order number if the item is part of an order.

    • Shipment Number: The shipment number if the item is part of a shipment.

    • Note: Any additional notes about the item.

    • Comment: Any additional comments about the item.

  3. Actions

    • Edit Item: Allows users to modify item details for both serial and non-serial items. Depending on whether the item is tracked by serial number or not, the pop-up interface will present different fields for editing.

    • Hold: Click to put the item on hold. See the Holding / Unholding items section below.

    • Print Label: Click to print labels for the item. See the Label Printing section below.

  4. Item History

    • This section displays a log of actions performed on the item, including timestamps, actions, and users who performed the actions.

    • View More: Click to view more details about a specific action.

      1. Detailed History Pop-Up

        The detailed history pop-up provides a side-by-side comparison of the item's attributes before and after a specific action. The system highlights the changes in data for easy identification.

        • Understanding the Pop-Up Layout

          • Before Item: Displays the item’s attributes before the action was performed.

          • After Item: Displays the item’s attributes after the action was performed.

        • Attributes Displayed

          • WMS #: Warehouse Management System number.

          • Serial #: Serial number of the item.

          • Qty: Quantity of the item.

          • Pallet No: Pallet number associated with the item.

          • Bin Number: Bin number where the item is stored.

          • Box Number: Box number where the item is stored.

          • Order Number: Order number if the item is part of an order.

          • Shipment Number: Shipment number if the item is part of a shipment.

          • SKU Number: Stock Keeping Unit of the item.

          • Lot Number: Lot number associated with the item.

          • Location Number: Location of the item.

          • Control Number: Control number associated with the item.

          • GR: Goods Receipt status.

          • GR Date: Date of the Goods Receipt.

          • COO: Country of origin of the item.

          • Tracking Number: Tracking number if available.

          • RMA Number: Return Merchandise Authorization number.

          • Factory Seal: Indicates if the factory seal is present (true/false).

          • Packing: Type of packing (e.g., Retail Box).

          • ACC: Accessory (true/false).

          • Disposition: Disposition remarks.

          • Discrepancy: Discrepancy details if any.

          • QC Count: Number of Quality Control checks performed.

          • Scrap: This field indicates whether the item is considered scrap or not. It will display as "Yes" if the item is scrap, or "No" if it is not.

          • Scrap Date:

          • Blocked: This field indicates whether the item is considered blocked (on hold) or not. It will display "Yes" if the item is blocked, or "No" if it is not.

          • Note: Additional notes about the item.

          • Comment: Additional comments about the item.

          • Status: Current status of the item (e.g., Inventory, Pick).

          • BIN Type: refers to the categorization of items within the warehouse based on their status, purpose, or condition.

          • SAP Status: Status in the SAP system.

          • Created At: Date and time when the item was created in the system.

        • Using the Pop-Up

          • Review Changes: Compare the attributes listed under "Before Item" and "After Item" to understand what changes were made during the action.

          • Highlighted Changes: The system will highlight any changes in data to make them easily identifiable.

        • Closing the Pop-Up

          • Click the X button at the top right corner of the pop-up to close it and return to the Item Details page.
  5. Job Center History

    • This section displays a log of the item's history within the Job Center.

      Understanding the Job Center History Table

      The Job Center History table displays detailed information about each action performed on the item. The table includes the following columns:

      • Action Date

        • The date and time when the action was performed.
      • Action Status

        • The status of the action (e.g., QC, Repair, Clean).
      • Result Status

        • The result of the action (e.g., QC Complete, Repair Complete).
      • Working By

        • The user who performed the action.
      • Error (Area)

        • The area where the error occurred (if applicable).
      • Fixed (Area)

        • The area that was fixed (if applicable).
      • Failure Reason

        • The reason for any failure during the action (if applicable).
      • Zone/Location

        • The zone or location where the action was performed.
      • Comment

        • Additional comments related to the action.
      • Additional Info

        • A link to view more detailed information of the repair process.
  6. Filtering History

    • Action By: Use the dropdown to filter history records by the user who performed the action.

    • Clear: Click to clear the filters and view all history records.

Holding / Unholding items

The Warehouse Management System (WMS) allows users to hold and unhold both serial and non-serial items. This manual provides step-by-step instructions on how to use these features effectively.

Types of Holding Items

Holding Serial Items

  1. Accessing the Item Details Page

    • Navigate to the Inventory Item List page.

    • Click on the detail button of the serial item you want to hold.

  2. Holding the Item

    • On the Item Details page, click the Hold button located at the top right.

    • The item's status will be marked as Hold on the item status.

  3. Unholding the Item

    • On the Item Details page, click the Unhold button.

    • The item's status will revert to its previous status, removing the hold.

Holding Non-Serial Items

  1. Accessing the Item Details Page

    • Navigate to the Inventory Item List page.

    • Click on the Detail button of the non-serial item you want to hold.

  2. Holding the Item

    • On the Item Details page, click the Hold button located at the top right.

    • A pop-up window will appear.

    • Enter the quantity (QTY) of the item you want to hold in the provided field.

    • Click the Hold button in the pop-up to confirm.

    • The item's status will be marked as Hold with the specified quantity on hold.

  3. Unholding the Item

    • On the Item Details page, click the Unhold button.

    • A pop-up window will appear.

    • Enter the quantity (QTY) of the item you want to unhold in the provided field.

    • Click the Unhold button in the pop-up to confirm.

    • The specified quantity of the item will be unheld, and the item's status will revert to its previous status for the unheld quantity.

Label Printing

The label printing feature on the Item Details page allows users to print different types of labels for inventory items.

Accessing the Label Printing Feature

  1. Using the Print Label Button

    • Locate the PRINT LABEL button on the top right of the Item Details page.

    • Click on the PRINT LABEL button to reveal the dropdown menu with label options.

Label Options

Each label option provides a different format and amount of information. Below are the details for each label type:

1. 1 WMS Label

  • Content:

    • SKU#: Displays the SKU number with a barcode.

    • SN#: Displays the serial number with a barcode.

    • WMS#: Displays the WMS number with a barcode.

    • RCV: Displays the received date.

    • PRINT: Displays the print date and user who printed the label.

    • COO: Displays the country of origin.

    • DP: Displays the disposition.

2. WMS Labels

  • Content:

    • Each label contains the same information as the 1 WMS label but duplicated for printing two labels at once.
  • Use Case: Ideal for situations where duplicate labels are needed for different locations or purposes.

3. Big WMS Label

  • Content:

    • SKU#: Displays the SKU number with a barcode.

    • SN#: Displays the serial number with a barcode.

    • WMS#: Displays the WMS number with a barcode.

    • PALLET#: Space for the pallet number with a barcode.

    • BIN#: Space for the bin number with a barcode.

    • BOX#: Displays the box number with a barcode.

    • RCV: Displays the received date.

    • PRINT: Displays the print date and user who printed the label.

    • COO: Displays the country of origin.

    • DP: Displays the disposition.
